The opportunity
We are looking for a Control Room Systems Co-ordinator, based at our Operations Centre (OC) in Perth, to act as the first point of contact for all systems problems at the OC. You will also carry out the troubleshooting of control, communication and asset protection software systems in order to enable a safe and reliable operation of systems.
Our state-of-the-art Operations Centre located near the Perth domestic airport is a key component of our Mine of the Future vision. The Operations Centre control room operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to coordinate our integrated network of mines, rail, power and ports. It enables all our mines, ports and rail systems to be operated from a single location, optimising site activities from 1,500km away.

What the role entails
This position is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual with an awareness of the relevant emerging technology and the ability to manage customers’ expectations. Based in Perth (3 days on, 3 nights on and 6 days) and reporting to the Specialist Control Room Systems, you will be:
· Providing direct level 1 and 2 Production Systems support across a wide range of applications at various mines, ports, utilities and rail systems
· Ensuring that system uptime is maximised by effective triage response, supported by good documentation of the fault
· Providing solutions that enables a better utilisation of the existing infrastructure
· Diagnosing Server and Operating System issues as well as providing effective support across the technologies used at the OC
· Identifying and correcting any software and hardware problems affecting the operation of the systems
· Identifying and escalating problems to a relevant support person or a team in a timely manner
What you will need for this role
To succeed in this exciting and challenging role, you will have:
· A tertiary qualification in Computer Systems Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience
· A sound knowledge of VMware, Microsoft Windows Operating System, troubleshooting workstations
· In-depth knowledge of networks, and associated infrastructure
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
