Editor - churches

We are looking for a talented editor and writer to deliver high-quality content in a fast-paced, high-volume publishing environment. You’ll be working across a wide range of materials including marketing communications, books, magazines, newspaper, and online.
You’ll be working closely with clients to develop compelling messages and tone of voice appropriate to our key audience. To this end, a knowledge of biblical and theological language and of the needs of the Christian community is crucial.
You will be educated to degree level, and hold a relevant qualification in journalism, PR or marketing (or have equivalent work experience). An inspiring writer, you will be able to tailor copy for different audiences and channels, to tight deadlines, while adhering to brand and style guidelines.
An understanding of the Christian faith community is essential, as is willingness to produce written content that engages Christians imaginatively (such as theological reflections or fundraising initiatives).
You will also have knowledge of global development issues, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and good organisational skills. Also vital is up-to-date experience of publishing technology (particularly InDesign and Acrobat professional) for print and online media.
