Finance manager, InspirAction

InspirAction is the Spanish INGO of the Christian Aid family. InspirAction is an organisation that supports people helping themselves out of poverty and speaks out against injustice. A major focus of the work of InspirAction is on advocacy and influencing in order to change the systems and structures that keep people poor. A particular advocacy target for InspirAction is the Spanish government and through it the European Union. InspirAction is in a clear two-year plan for this influencing work.
This job is to cover the period from mid-November 2013 to June 2014 and requires someone who can learn the organisation and work quickly. The InspirAction team is four people (including this post) so the person must be someone who has excellent inter-personal skills and has experience in small teams. While the role is expected to co-ordinate closely with Christian Aid colleagues in the UK, it is important that the person has an understanding of the social and economic situation in Spain in order to be most effective in the role.
