Climate Change and Environment Evaluators with DFID experience
We are a nominated supplier for the UK Department for International Development under the Global Evaluation Framework Agreement (GEFA). We are currently bidding to undertake an evaluation of a climate change and environment programme in Rwanda, tendered through GEFA, and are interested to hear from interested candidates with the following profiles.
General Requirements:
- Experience in data collection, evidence-gathering, and/or M&E in the climate change/environment/clean energy sector (essential)
- Experience in climate change adaptation and low carbon development programmes in low and middle income countries (essential)
- Fluency in English (essential)
- Familiarity with East or Central African political economy (desirable)
- Proficiency in French and Kinyarwanda (desirable)
- Knowledge of national fund mechanisms (desirable)
- Experience in DFID-funded projects (desirable)
- Strong communication skills (desirable)
TL:
- Experience in leading evaluations and reviews of development interventions using qualitative and quantitative methods
- Review and evaluation of challenge funds or other fund management programmes
- Experience in designing evaluation methodologies and setting up monitoring frameworks, especially in relation to climate change
- Experience in impact assessments and the Theory of Change
Quantitative Data Analyst:
- Experience in disaggregating data (e.g., to demonstrate programme effects for different segments of the population)
- Statistical analysis of quantitative data
VfM/Fund Analyst:
- Experience in VfM analysis of fund portfolios
- Experience in cost-benefits analysis of projects
- Evaluation of funds (especially challenge funds)
