PROGRAMME MANAGER – SUSTAINABLE SEAFOOD
To cope with the increasing demand for sustainable seafood at a national, regional and global level, WWF-South Pacific is recruiting a core member to the Conservation Department. This person will be responsible for developing and executing strategies and operational plans for WWF - South Pacific's emerging Sustainable Seafood Programme.
Developing Sustainable Seafood goes beyond focusing on the individual components of sustainable fishing. It requires a holistic approach, addressing all aspects along the chain of custody from the fisherman’s hook all the way to the final product delivered to the consumer at their local fish market, a tourist at a restaurant or a retail store in Europe, North America or Asia.

Requirements (Qualifications & Experience):
- A relevant degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent required Seafood, Fisheries, Marine Resource Management, Economics, Political or Environmental Science Knowledge of and experience of working with the seafood or fishing industry essential.
- At least 5 years’ experience in programme & project management work. Preferably at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in multi-disciplinary project management and multi-stakeholder initiatives in the natural resource management field would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in strategic planning
- Proven experience in managing & developing teams
- Proven experience is persuading and influencing.
