The EIDHR programme is supported by the European Commission to work on the Civil Society Joint Action Programme to promote Dalit Human Rights in South Asia. The EIDHR project will be implemented by Christian Aid, in partnership with local civil society organisations working on human rights issues in South Asia which includes India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
We are looking for candidates with a degree in a development related discipline with substantial and relevant experience of working on policy issues on human rights. Other essentials are experience of implementing/managing complex programmes through a partnership approach with civil society; good knowledge of working on programmes of institutional donors such as DFID, European Commission; experience of working on policy issues related to social exclusion including addressing caste based discrimination, human rights, inequalities and governance; experience in developing policy analysis, developing policy brief and networking with relevant stakeholders. Proficiency in writing and communicating in English is essential. Knowledge of any other South Asia regional languages will be an added advantage.
