Impact Hub Amsterdam is an ecosystem to inspire and support people to create impact in the world through entrepreneurship. Our ecosystem incorporates a co-working space, event venue, innovation lab and series of accelerator programs. We are part of a global community of 7000+ impactmakers spread over more than 50 locations worldwide.
Impact Hub Amsterdam has been established in 2008 and has recently moved to a bigger location in the Westerpark. The current team consists of 10 people + 20 volunteers and we are growing rapidly.
The job
We are looking for a facilities manager. You will be running the operations of our 600m2 location that consists of a co-working space, three meeting rooms and an event venue. The location could be expanded in the future. The position is full-time (but you can apply from 4day/week availability).
The responsibilities
• Overseeing the facilities and space maintenance
• Attracting, training and managing our pool of paid and voluntary hosting capacity
• Creating a superb experience for members and room/event bookers
• Managing supplies and stock
• Developing and improving the co-working and hospitality offering
• Having acquisition and sales conversations on a daily basis
• Attending to phone calls and email requests
• Daily and weekly troubleshooting
The qualities we are looking for
• You perform under pressure (you can attend to 1000 things and keep cool)
• You can be quick and directive, in a gentle way
• You are socially smart and you can read people
• You are an excellent planner and creating structure comes naturally to you
• You enjoy being in a vibrant environment and between people all the time
• You can easily switch between details and the bigger picture
• You have high standards and you take pleasure in always looking for improvement
• You make sure that things are failsafe and make backup plans
• You are comfortable in Dutch and English
• You are time-conscious and you’re hardly ever late
The experience we are looking for
• HBO+
• Experience in planning, staffing, training, acquisition/sales, budgeting, management
• Experience with event coordination
• Experience in handling operations, equipment, ICT, furniture, etc. etc.
• Having experience in running a café/restaurant/event space is a definite plus!
