Program Coordinator

The International Center for Not-for-Profit Law (“ICNL”) is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator based in Washington, DC to provide support in the implementation of a global program to promote and protect civil society. ICNL works with governments, civil society organizations, and the international community to develop the legal framework for civil society, philanthropy, and public participation in over 100 countries. DUTIES
Under the direction of ICNL’s Vice-President – Legal Affairs, the Program Coordinator will undertake the following duties:
• Coordinate the implementation of a multi-million dollar global project across the organization and among consortium partners;
• Assist in the design and coordinate implementation of systems and tools to enhance effectiveness in project management, monitoring and evaluation;
• Collect, organize and present project data for management use;
• Communicate with and mobilize various teams and partner organizations;
• Work with the finance team to monitor spending and coordinate budget planning;
• Coordinate preparation of and write donor reports;
• Assist in the organization of high-level international events;
• Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree;
• At least 3 years of professional experience in nonprofit projects;
• Familiarity with project management tools;
• Familiarity with budgeting, monitoring and evaluation;
• Superior administrative and organizational skills, and attention to detail;
• Excellent English writing and communication skills;
• Experience in working in multinational teams and complex projects preferred;
• Experience in event organizing an advantage;
• Knowledge about civil society, human rights, international development and related issues an advantage;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required.
The candidate must also possess legal authorization to work in the United States.
