Project Manager - ''Financing Sustainable Futures'' project - 0,8 ftu

The Project Manager (PM) will manage a grant from the European Union and create and implement a functional planning, monitoring and evaluation (PM&E) system for the project.
The project aims to raise awareness among the general public and decision-makers in the European Union about the relationship between development and financial and investment systems, and to mobilise support for individual and collective action against poverty, hunger, environmental sustainability and observance of human rights. The PM&E system will be designed to eventually be replicated throughout the grants managed by of FoEI's International Secretariat.
The PM will design a PM&E system to ensure that the grant is on track to deliver agreed objectives and activities and to assure timely warning if progress is insufficient. As project manager for the grant, the PM will work closely with relevant FoE Europe and FoEI program coordinators and a project team. The team will be comprised of project leads from member groups in eight EU countries and responsible for that organization's involvement in the project, including implementation of activities, reporting, and financial management. The PM is generally responsible for liaising between International Secretariat staff involved in the project and the project team.
For this project, monitoring and evaluation activities by the PM will include collection and review of reports for specific activities in the project against work plans, bi-monthly conference calls, and annual meetings. Reports will be collected on distribution of publications and materials, media coverage, participation in capacity building/training meetings, effect of advocacy efforts and financial expenditures and projections. The PM will organize and facilitate project meetings, which will include sharing of lessons learned and interim evaluation by partners. The PM will be responsible for collecting, reviewing and approving reports, both narrative and financial, and ensuring that reports are delivered on time and include the information needed for reporting to the donor. The PM will be responsible for all reporting to the donor.
Using the PM&E system developed for the sustainable finance project as a guide, the PM will work with the International Programs Facilitator and the International Coordinator to identify ways in which PM&E can be improved in the grant management done by the International Secretariat. As appropriate, the PM will be assigned additional PM&E work on other projects currently overseen by the International Programs Facilitator.
