Safety and Security Manager HRP

Summary
The SSM / HRT position has been created to oversee and advise on the Team's safety and security management through increased capacity, technical support and advice both to the humanitarian response team and country programs on all aspects of staff safety and security and by ensuring appropriate systems are in place. The SSM / HRT builds and supports humanitarian response safety and security management systems consistent with SC Safety and Security Policy and Standards; conducting safety and security assessments; providing training for staff; analyzing incident reports and security updates responding to HRT inquiries.
Responsibilities •Administrative, monitor and analyze security udates, review and gather safety related information, maintain up-to-date risk profiles for countries where STC programs are located. Manage incident reports, act as focal person, make recommendations for appropriate Safety and Security budgets. •HRT Support, review plans, make recommendations for improvements, analyze results, review standards, monitor events in assigned areas. •Training, provide security briefings to travelers, design and deliver crisis management trainings for senior management team, design and deliver trainings to improve the skills and capacities of staff. •Provide direct security management support in humanitarian response, ensure security management in emergency response procedures are implemented. Deploy to the site of the emergency to establish safety and security procedures and develop local security management capacity.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years experience with overseas NGO program management or humanitarian relief management in complex and or insecure environments. Must have a min of 1 year experience in security management, strong written and oral communication. Fluency in French, Spanish or Arabic highly desirable. Strong organizational and computerl skills. Must be able to travel 90% of the time and have experience traveling to foreign countries. Individual could be located anywhere in the world.
