Maxwell Stamp is one of the world’s leading international development consultancies with a respected name built up over more than 50 years across 170 countries. We are seeking a full-time, London-based, staff member to join our Trade and Competitiveness practice which works with clients in developing countries to promote growth, facilitate trade and improve national and firm level competitiveness. The role will entail overseas travel and will involve a mixture of new business development, project management and technical delivery, requiring leadership, oversight and networking skills. You should have:
  • a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (economics, business etc)
  • substantial relevant professional experience, some within a commercial consultancy
  • proven success leading winning proposals for international donor agencies
  • a substantial history of successfully delivering large and diverse PSD/SME projects
  • extensive knowledge of business environment/investment climate reform issues
  • familiarity and experience of current techniques – Making Markets Work for the Poor (M4P), value chains, clustering etc
  • strong team motivation, effective communication and management skills
