Salary: £27,854-£36,298
Reference: PJ02236
Closing date: 30 December 2013
Do you want to be able to be part of a like-minded group of developers and contribute to pioneer new crowd-sourcing techniques for organizing claims about corporate behavior? Do you want an opportunity to collaborate with researchers to turn their bright ideas into working products?
The Wikirate project is designed to encourage responsible corporate behavior by fostering constructive feedback loops between companies and their stakeholders. It's like a Wikipedia for corporate responsibility, but with new, powerful ways for communities to interact with more structured data. This is a fantastic opportunity to create, innovate, and make an impact to better the world.
For that reason we are now looking for a highly accomplished UX/UI Software Developer to join our team on a full-time basis for, initially, a 3 year period. The position will be within The Psychometrics Centre in Department of Psychology. All efforts are funded by a 3-year grant from the European Commission under their 7th Framework ICT programme and you will be part of a dispersed team located in the UK, US, Germany, Italy and Greece.
We are looking for someone passionate about designing and creating visually appealing user interfaces using latest web standards (HTML5, CSS3), and JavaScript frameworks. Someone who will be creative and able to seamlessly switch his thinking between user and developer perspectives, and transform his vision into clean and unit-tested code. Ideal candidate will possess knowledge of agile development methodologies, be self-motivated and have a proven ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines. Passion and a desire to constantly improve skills are essential.
