Plan Academy Intern

About the internship

The Plan Academy Intern will work as part of Plan’s Learning Academy Team at Plan’s International Headquarters, based in Woking, Surrey. The Plan Academy Intern will work directly with members of this team as well as with other staff from across Plan globally. The internship will last for a minimum of 3 months.

There would be three primary work areas:

Participate in the preparation and coordination of internal and external communications activities relating to upcoming courses and modules and promoting the Connect and Discover functions of the Plan Academy website.
Update and make changes to the Plan Academy website (Word press), upload resources and news stories. Also, keep the Plan Academy website calendar up-to-date by coordinating with the Regional Learning Support Specialists to add all learning events and course/module timeframes to the calendar. This responsibility does not require any prior knowledge of Word Press but general good computer skills are required.
Any other support as required by the Plan Academy/Knowledge Management Officer
This role will be working with the Plan Academy team. There will be a focus on Communications, Learning and Development and ICT. The Academy has been created to help learners acquire and deepen their understanding of Child Centred Community Development and thereby become its effective practitioners and advocates.

Normal office hours are 9 -5pm Monday to Friday.

Examples of tasks/projects undertaken by previous interns include:

Producing Blogs , develop messages that will attract potential learners
Supporting the management of Plan Academy website
Help with Internal Plan learning events at HQ , global staff sessions

A keen interest in learning in organisations

How to apply
Location and Travel: Based in Woking, Surrey (30 minutes by train from Central London)
Reports to: Isobel Taylor, Plan Academy/Knowledge Management Officer
Duration: 12 week internship, ideally looking for this individual to start 1st / 2nd week of May, 2014

We offer a £20 daily allowance for travel and lunch.
