Job Summary
Cardno is an ASX-200 professional infrastructure and environmental services company, with expertise in the development and improvement of physical and social infrastructure for communities around the world.
As Cardno continues to grow its global operations we are seeking a Group Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) Manager to oversee the Health and Safety, Security, Environment and Quality functions of Cardno globally. This position will report to the General Manager Global Business Services. This newly created position will be pivotal in shaping Cardno's global strategy towards HSSEQ while ensuring regional teams execute and tailor this to their individual region.
Office location preference (in no particular order): United States: Concord, CA Lake Forest, CA Denver, CO Portland, OR Houston, TX
Australia: Brisbane Melbourne Sidney
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
>Devising a strategic framework for the Cardno Group for Health and Safety, Security, Environment and Quality globally to achieve company targets and objectives.
>Development of group wide systems, policies and procedures to support the agreed framework and a common approach to system structure, risk management and reporting.
>Working closely with the Regions to ensure that they develop their own appropriate systems and processes closely aligned with the global framework.
>Actively managing and participating in the relevant regional and group wide bodies - including Group HSE Committee and the Group Quality Forum.

Other Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
>Experience in Occupational Health and Safety and/or other relevant discipline combined.
>Bachelor's degree in related field.
>10+ years' experience in a senior corporate HSSEQ management role, preferably in the major markets that Cardno operates in, including mining, energy and environmental services
>Knowledge and application of international and other relevant management system standards, including health and safety (AS4801/OHSAS18001); environment (ISO14001) and quality (ISO9001)
>Extensive experience with developing and implementing HSSEQ management systems
>International experience, particularly in both Australia and the USA is highly desirable
>Ability to work in a fast-paced and regularly changing corporate and commercial environment
>Experience with managing a team (with both direct and indirect reports) and budget
>Experience in corporate project management and delivery
>Excellent verbal and written communication skills
>Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and influence at all staff levels including senior management and the Board
>Well-developed presentation skills
>Capable of mentoring staff and management
>Ability to travel to offices and sites as required (including internationally)
