The opportunity
We are looking for a Business Process Analyst to actively pursue and deliver standardisation of operational processes in activities which impact the division and the OC control room. You will also identify opportunities to improve and standardise, and work with relevant resources to action those improvements and set up a standard way for each process in the future.
Our state-of-the-art Operations Centre located near the Perth domestic airport is a key component of our Mine of the Future™ vision. The Operations Centre control room operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to coordinate our integrated network of mines, rail, power and ports. It enables all our mines, ports and rail systems to be operated from a single location, optimising site activities from 1,500km away.
What the role entails
This position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual. Based in Perth and reporting to the Superintendent Transformation, you will be:
- Documenting and assessing operational processes between the control room and sites
- Undertaking maintenance of the OC process architecture, including database, repository, structure and processes
- Planning, coordinating and facilitating process mapping workshops with operational sites and the OC in order to baseline the current state processes
- Ensuring processes conform to the Integrated Planning Delivery Process Management and architecture model
- Developing future state process maps and determine gaps from baseline processes
- Working with subject matter experts and process owners as appropriate to deliver the future state process
- Working with accountable people to ensure relevant training documentation and Standard Working Procedures (SWPs) supporting new processes are completed as part of the change process for new or improved processes
What you will need for this role
To succeed in this exciting and challenging role, you will have:
- A background in business process modelling using a recognised methodology such as Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN
- Experience in developing and managing a Process Management framework
- The ability to work in a team environment
A degree in Business, Commerce or Information Technology (IT) will be highly regarded. Experience in the mining or other heavy industry will be preferred.
