Job Summary
Cardno TBE is seeking a CEI Utility Inspector for our Utilities - South group, in the Lake City, FL office to perform assignments assigned by Senior Utility Inspector, and to be responsible for monitoring utility company relocation/installations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
> Performs inspection of utility relocation for proposed DOT projects or approved utility permits assigned to Cardno for inspection.
> Comprehends and interprets utility and highway design plans.
> Reviews utility work schedules, markups from the utility company and approved utility permits.
> Monitors proper MOT setup.
> Responsible for closing of completed utility permits ensuring all requirements have been completed and required documents submitted.
> Updates utility status report on a weekly basis.
> Responsible for communicating effectively with utility owners for work that needs to be completed prior to highway contractor starting work.

Basic Qualifications:
> High School graduate or equivalent.
> Minimum 2 year experience in Utility Relocation.
> Comprehend and interpret utility and highway design plans.
> Operate and maintain vehicle and other related equipment.
> Ability to perform physical movements and operate heavy tools and equipment.
> Outdoor work in all climates.
> Possible overnight travel and overtime.
