Job Summary

Cardno EM-Assist’s Government Services division is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to provide support and act as the liaison between 72 ABW/CEIE and 552 ACW at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the liaison between 72 ABW/CEIE and 552 ACW, communicating environmental requirements to management and shop level personnel at 552 ACW.
  • Provide assistance and direction to 552 ACW shop level personnel to ensure they are compliant with environmental regulations.
  • Support ESOH inspections such as ECAMP/ESOHCAMP assessments.
  • Work with the environmental program managers in 72 ABW/CEIE to understand the requirements that need to be imparted to shop level employees as well as explaining the necessity of the requirements to the 552 ACW chain-of-commands.
  • Notify 72 ABW/CEIE personnel should a situation arise that is outside of any standard practices on Tinker AFB.
  • Work with 72 ABW/CEIE and 552 ACW to resolve the issue.
  • Participate and support Environment Management System and compliance assessments and assist with developing corrective actions to address identified findings.

Other Requirements

  • ​5 years’ experience in management and handling of hazardous waste and hazardous materials
  • Previous experience in managing compliance with air quality requirements under the Clean Air Act (CAA).
  • Professional working knowledge of:
    • CAA requirements including those under the New Source Performance Standards, National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants, Title V and refrigerant management programs. 
    • 40 CFR 260 through 265 RCRA regulations
    • 40 CFR 761, 745, and 763TSCA (PCB, Asbestos and LBP) regulations
    • 49 CFR Parts 171, 172, and 173 Hazardous Material regulations
    • ISO 14001, Environmental Management Systems and AFI 90-803, ESOHCAMP
  • Must have or be able to obtain 40 hour HAZWOPER Certificate
  • Ability to pass a medical fitness exam and respirator fit test
  • Experience using computers and common MS Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Outlook, etc.)
  • Good interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Education:  Bachelors of Science degree in engineering or science related field
