Qualification and Competencies:
Qualifications:
- Advanced university degree in communication, journalism, humanities or social sciences, or equivalent professional work experience combined with an advanced university degree in a related discipline.*
- Five years of relevant work experience: writing and editing research-based public advocacy reports, project management and communications.
- Excellent coordination skills.
- Superb written and oral communications skills in English (knowledge of another UN language desirable).
- Excellent writing and editing skills; thorough understanding of publication processes; experience repurposing and negotiating publications content and working on complex institutional reports.
- Experience working with graphic designers, web designers and visual media producers (experience with complex data visualization an asset).
- Good understanding of and commitment to child rights (familiarity with the United Nations system desirable).
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; versatility; attention to detail; ability to work under pressure without sacrificing quality.
- Good computer skills, including advanced MS Office.
