Middle School Math Science Teacher

TLC International School is seeking middle school math/science teachers for a two-year contract, beginning August 22, 2014. The teacher hired must be a trained math/science teacher certified in the US, Canada, UK or Australia with a background in inquiry-based learning, a strong commitment to student success, caring, enthusiastic and with a strong work ethic. We are looking for a person who truly believes teaching is the noblest profession.

TLC is a warm, caring international school dedicated to student success. We have been in existence for eight years and have grown from a small preschool with 18 students to a pre-k-grade 10 school of 125 students.

TLC is located in Nouakchott, the capital city of Mauritania in the heart of the Sahara desert. TLC provides teachers with a tax-free salary, housing, utilities and an air ticket at the beginning and end of contract. Although the salary is $24,000 a year most teachers find that because the salary is tax-free they can save between $10,000 and $15,000 a year.
