The Humanitarian Programme team is leading the programmatic and funding support to CARE International Country and Regional Offices on the organisation’s humanitarian and emergency programmes. This has been a year in which CARE International responded to several humanitarian emergencies and CIUK successfully secured a considerable part of global institutional funding. As we are positioning to ensure the support of humanitarian emergencies for 2016, we are recruiting two Humanitarian Contracts and Finance Officers- one to cover a maternity leave and the other is additional support to join our team.

About you

You will be an experienced contracts and finance officer, with field and/or HQ experience in humanitarian projects finance management and a very good knowledge of humanitarian donors’ requirements. You believe in the core humanitarian principles and what drives you is your passion to deliver quality, lifesaving, humanitarian programmes to the most vulnerable, where ever needed. You are a team player and you want to help develop our humanitarian programme and grow its UK funding.
Our Contracts and Finance Officers plays a key role to provide integrated contract, financial and compliance expertise to a portfolio of CARE UK supported humanitarian projects, throughout the end-to-end programme management cycle. You will work in a fast moving environment and give quality support to CARE country teams, from pre-positioning with partners, budgets of funding proposals, monitoring and interim financial reporting, through to final donor reporting and project close-out. Together with other Humanitarian colleagues, you will develop capacity building tools and provide support on strategy. You will also provide key project information for the CIUK financial processes, monitoring against financial indicators and providing financial monitoring reports to the programme managers.
