internship: Statistics, Market Monitoring and Forecast- Shipbuilding

SEA Europe is a leading trade association representing the interests of the European maritime technology industry (shipbuilding and equipment manufacturing). The sector has an annual turnover of €91 bn and a workforce of around 500.000, SEA Europe is active internationally and more specifically on the European stage to lobby for favourable technical and policy developmets to further growth and competitiveness of the European maritim tecnology industry

Job Description:

To support the statistical work of the association, produce market studies and forecast. SEA Europe is offering a paid internship for a period of 6 months, starting inmediately.

As intern you will:

• Provide support in the analysis of statistical data on shipping and shipbuilding markets, including the develpment of forecasting methodologies.
• Draft statistical and analytical reports.
• Follow-up market developments, policies and regulations at EU and international level.
• Support the Policy Advisor in the coordination of working groups, and the organisation of events.

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Ability to analyse statistics and to draft reports
• Competent spoken and written Enlish
• Basic understanding of EU institutions and policies
• Relevant knowledge in the maritime field is an asset
• High dynamic & proactive, and able to work independentely
