Adviser Retail Banking EACB

The adviser will join the Retail Banking team. His or her portfolio will comprise the following tasks:

• Monitoring of European initiatives (legislative or self-regulatory) relevant for cooperative banks in the area of retail banking
• Informing member organisations about latest developments in the Commission’s regulatory policy for banks (by emails, internal memos and reports) and the drafting of position papers.
• Organising and contributing to the meetings of the various expert Working Group run by EACB in the area of retail banking (drafting the agenda, inviting guest speakers, provide input to/moderate and summarising the discussion)
• The representation of the interests of member organisations in meetings and lobbying towards EU Institutions (European Commission, Parliament, Council and other relevant bodies) and the European Banking Industry Committee (EBIC)
• Drafting of letters, speeches and other relevant documents for internal and external distribution
• Maintaining a network of contacts both within the association and outside (EU policy-makers, other trade associations, etc.)
• Support the running of the secretariat of the European Banking Industry Committee (EBIC)
