Responsibilities:
· To support Head of Editorial in developing and implementing clear and consistent editorial messaging to ensure widespread understanding of the Group’s strategy, strengths and objectives
· Write, edit and publicize key messages and stories about the company and its employees in a variety of publications and media
· Write, edit and publicize key messages and stories in a variety of publications and media, including:
(a) Speeches, talking points or briefing notes for Executive Committee members speaking in the region
(b) Articles/stories for channels including print,web, INSIDE ENERGY app, social media, videos and Shell reports
(c) Draft/Edit Press Releases
· Help to develop and enforce consistent Shell style
· Coach others in the region on writing skills


Requirements:
· A Bachelor’s Degree or MBA
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of a third language would be advantageous
· Experience in journalism, preferably in written media and Internet and in a corporate environment
· Clear understanding of print, web and social media processes and objectives
· Knowledge of business and relevant industry sectors highly advantageous
· Able to cope with tight deadlines and a wide range of tasks simultaneously
· Ability to work across borders, with people from different cultures and at a range of levels in the organisation including senior management
· Creative, and focused on getting results with a strong ability to resolve issues and problems
· Able to distil large amounts of often technical material into clear and compelling stories/texts under tight datelines
