Business Manager - Country Risk

Purpose of job:

Provide wide range of administrative and operational support and assistance, thereby positively impacting on the Country Risk team effectiveness and efficiency.

Key result areas:

  • Provide support to Global Head of Country Risk in various steercom and committee roles (involves pre-, during and post-meeting work).
  • Coordinate governance around committee meetings by scheduling of meetings, collation and distribution of committee packs, recording and distribution of minutes.
  • Coordinate, collate, edit and see through to completion various reports for management and the board e.g. GROC, EXCO and operating risk reports.
  • Prepare any other reporting requirements required by various committees, and financial reporting.
  • Involvement in various special projects and assignments of varying degrees of complexity and duration.
  • Implementation and maintenance of fit for purpose risk management systems, currently Adaptive and CRS.
  • Implementation and maintenance of country risk intranet site.
  • Ensure internal audit issues are addressed and responded to.
  • Assist in the drafting and reviewing of country risk standard and policy documents.
  • Coordinate the annual control risk reviews for Sub Sahara Africa and International country risk as measured against the Country risk standard.
  • Assist with budgets and monitoring of cost centre income and expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Support Country Risk team in engagement in strategy formulation for business to ensure business aspirations are aligned with country risk appetite.
  • Management of a portfolio of countries (involving preparation of country risk reviews, ratings and appropriate limit management).

Ability
