Join Save the Children UK as an Education Programme Development Advisor and you will lead some of our most exciting education proposal development opportunities - with a focus on programme design.

In this role you will really be able to feel the impact of your work. You will work on the most strategic and significant education opportunities at Save the Children, and in designing programmes at scale, your knowledge and skills will be challenged and taken to the next level.

Our business review has indicated significant new opportunities which are relevant to our ambitious plans to expand the scale of our education work across five key areas, and in particular to support education in conflict affected states. No other UK or European NGO supports as much education work in both emergency and development settings. We are known for our strong programming work informed by the views and experiences of children themselves and through children speaking from their own experiences. Above all, this is an opportunity to design programmes that work, and that will make real and major changes to the lives of children.

As Education Programme Development Advisor you will:

• provide technical support in programme design to our country offices, this will entail considerable travel
• design programmes in line with our strategy and objectives
• work across functions, which will involves working with colleagues from different areas of the Save the Children organisation: and in particular will work at the nexus of our education and new business teams, drawing support and inspiration from both areas.
As Education Progamme Development Advisor you will have:
• commitment and a strong technical knowledge and implementation experience in developing countries
• ability to design innovative programmes that will enable us to deliver at scale, reaching the world's poorest children with high quality education programmes
• excellent team-player skills and commitment to empowering others to deliver their best
• strong knowledge and networks
• proven understanding of designing and delivering high impact education programmes
• a strong education specialist background, and significant experience in a range of countries
• experience of developing education programmes in areas affected by conflict or humanitarian crises (is strongly preferred)
