European Parliament Relations and Communications Junior Manager

FoodDrinkEurope is recruiting a European Parliament Relations and Communications Junior Manager (Full-time post)

Job description:

  • Monitoring and following parliamentary work in Brussels and Strasbourg and reporting back to the Deputy Director General/Director of Communications
  • Informing FoodDrinkEurope members of developments in the European Parliament on issues related to the food and drink industry
  • Responsible for keeping contact with relevant EP committees, political groups and individual MEPs and their offices, informing them of industry positions
  • Assisting in drafting and implementing industry strategy vis-à-vis the European Parliament and other communications activities as necessary

Profile:

  • Experience of working in and/or with the European Parliament (essential)
  • Knowledge of EU institutions and legislative procedures, including RPS
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Fluent English (mother tongue or equivalent); French/other languages an asset
  • Knowledge of the European food and drink industry would be an advantage
