Logistics Associate - Global Climate Change Project

dTS is recruiting a mid-level Logistics Associate to support the USAID funded Global Climate Change project under dTS’ M&E Practice. The Logistics Associate will support personnel recruitment and administration, financial management, knowledge management, and logistics on this project. Primary tasks follow.

Personnel Recruitment: Identify and recruit long-term or short-term personnel for the project. Format and revise resumes, write key qualifications sections according to project needs, collect required personnel documentation including biographical data sheets. Perform personnel reference checks and salary verifications. Personnel Onboarding, Mobilization and Field Support: Perform personnel onboarding tasks, mobilize staff for field assignments, and provide logistics support for field staff. Specific duties include purchasing airline tickets and hotel rooms, obtaining insurances, and performing on-going administrative liaison functions for staff while in the field. Financial Management: Review and process project expense reports, timesheets, check requests, and purchase orders. Perform research to support the development of budgets for individual assignments. Report Production: Support for report production. Specific tasks may include formatting documents to comply with USAID Branding and Marking policies or dTS branding policies as appropriate. Knowledge Management: Maintain project records and documents. Research: Support project research activities. Other Duties: Other administrative and logistics support duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the Position: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years of experience, or Master’s degree with a minimum of one year experience, in international development or related field. Demonstrated direct, or directly applicable, experience in at least two of the following (required) on USAID or other USG-funded projects (preferred): Recruiting personnel for positions for international development projects using relevant social networks, online databases, and email distribution lists; Mobilizing, onboarding, and providing administrative support to personnel for projects overseas; Reviewing and tracking expense reports and conducting pricing research to support the development of project budgets. Advanced skills using MS Word (including document-level formatting and automation) and MS Excel (creation of complex formulas for calculation and error checking) are a strong plus, as are in-depth skills with other professional-level software applications. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and concurrently manage a variety of activities while meeting deadlines with attention to detail and quality. (required) Demonstrated problem solving skills, initiative, and ability to work independently in and with a team are highly valued. Strong communicator with verbal, writing, and editing skills.
