Principal Process Engineer United Kingdom

Responsibilities:
The process engineering team based in Aberdeen provides support to the Shell Upstream Assets in the Central and Northern North Sea and the related Gas Plants in North East Scotland.

We are looking to recruit Principal Process Engineers.

As a Principal Process Engineer professional you will lead a team of process engineers who:
• Optimise the performance of existing processing facilities
• Initiate and mature proposals for improvements leading to increased production and/or reduced costs
• Identify innovative solutions to unlock reserves through the development of new process facilities
• Monitor integrity,safety and environmental performance and initiate actions to ensure company and legal requirements continue to be satisfied
• Support the Projects organization in the conceptual,execution and commissioning phase of facility projects

As teamleader you will be responsible for quality control,priority setting and staff development for your team,and work in close cooperation with other surface and sub-surface discipline professionals,operations,maintenance and project engineering teams. You will also act as Technical Authority.

Shell is providing a challenging work environment. Depending on competencies,interest and opportunities,assignments outside Aberdeen or in other disciplines like project engineering or operations,may be possible in later stages of an engineer’s career.

Requirements:
We are seeking engineers with a MSc. or BSc. Degree in Chemical Engineering, with extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry in process engineering or related functions.

Preferably Chartered Engineer or registered professional engineer.

You are able to demonstrate:
• Broad experience of design and selection of oil, gas, water process facilities, preferably in the Upstream environment
• Experience of commissioning and operations of oil and gas processing facilities
• Proven capability of support to Operations and/or Facility optimization
• Very good communications and inter-personal skills
• Strong leadership skills, proven in previous teamleader roles.
