| Duties: The successful applicant shall be expected to (i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses; (ii) supervise dissertations at graduate level and under-graduate research projects; (iii) provide academic leadership to the department; (iv) Participate in all academic and professional activities of the department including research and curriculum review; (v) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department. Requirements: Candidates should have: (i) a Masters Degree in Statistics or a related discipline; (ii) a Bachelors Degree in the relevant discipline with at least a 2(i) pass/ GPA of at least 3.6; (iii) at least 8 years of teaching experience in a University or comparable institution ; (iv) at least 24 publications, 12 of which should be refereed journal articles; (v) lead and/or single author in at least 10 refereed journal articles or book chapters; (vi) Evidence of service to University, the Profession and the Community; (vii) evidence of effective academic leadership (viii) the research profile should provide evidence of research mentorship to junior scholars; (ix) evidence and/or specialization in Biostatistics, Probability and Data Mining will be an added advantage. (x) applicants should clearly state their areas of teaching and research experience.
