Regional Coordinator for the Arab Gulf Region Transparency International

Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. Through more than 90 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.

TI’s 5-year Strategy (TI Strategy 2015) sets out some ambitious new directions for the TI Movement. In addition to this TI’s MENA Department has recently launched a new, far-reaching regional programme, the TI MENA Programme. This programme aims to exploit the current momentum for change in the MENA region by empowering civil society activists and organisations. TI plans to reach out to new partners, whilst simultaneously increasing its engagement with existing partners, providing them with additional tools to ensure that successes on the anti-corruption front are sustainable and replicable. More importantly, we will promote collaboration across the region so that our new partners can benefit from the experience and expertise of the more established groups.
