The University of Botswana invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the posts of Part-Time Lecturers to teach the following courses at the following centers: applicants should already be in Botswana holding a residence permit (if non-citizen) and stationed at or near their respective centres. Classes are held from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. (a) Gaborone (b) Lobatse (c) Selibe-Phikwe (d) Mahalapye (e) Francistown (f) Maun (g) Jwaneng Courses to be taught at Diploma in Accounting and Business Studies Level (DABS) DABS Year I Semester – I (July to December) Introduction to Communication and Academic Literacy Skills –I, Computing and information skills –I, Basic Accounting, Business Mathematics and Statistics. Semester – II (January to June) Introduction to Communication and Academic Literacy Skills –II, Computing and information skills –II Principles of Management, Introduction to marketing. DABS Year II Semester –I (July to December) Intermediate Accounting, Micro Economics, General Psychology, Business Statistics Semester –II (January to June) Macro Economics, Business Finance, Business Law, Taxation. DABS Year III Semester –I (July to December) Quantitative methods, Financial Management, Cost Accounting, Management Information Systems Semester –II (January to June) Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing, Financial Institutions and Markets, Human Resources Management, Fundamentals of Materials Management, Organizational design and development, Small Business Management, Sales Management, consumer behavior, Marketing Management, Purchasing Management.

Duties: the successful applicants will be expected to (i) engage in teaching, setting and invigilating tests/examinations, marking and other related duties in the DABS programmes.

Requirements: Candidates should (i) have a relevant Masters’ Degree in the respective subject/s; (ii) have a relevant Bachelors’ Degree in the respective subject/s with at least a 2(i) pass and an overall aggregate not less than 65%; (iii) show evidence of engagement in research and service; (iv) a PhD will be an added advantage, so will academic leadership and teaching experience at a University or comparable institution. The CV should inter alia, provide a detailed list of courses (if any) ever taught and the levels at which they were taught, as well as research and publications where applicable
