Subgrants Officer , Education Development Center

Education Development Center (EDC) is a leader in international programs and research. Established in 1958, EDC designs, delivers and evaluates innovative programs to address some of the world’s most urgent challenges in education, health, and economic opportunity. EDC is preparing for an anticipated USAID-funded youth-focused project in the West Bank. EDC is looking for exceptionally qualified and committed individuals with the below qualifications.

Qualifications: • Strong organizational, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills; • Good technical writing skills • Fluent in Arabic and proficient in English

Subgrants Officer: • Degree in business, accounting administration or related field; • 4-6 years of accounting and/or subgrant management experience with international projects; • Previous experience capacity building subgrantees through training, monitoring and evaluation and regular field visits; • Skilled in the development and editing of Accounting policies and procedures for subgrantees; • Facilitated the disbursement of funds to grantees in accordance with grant terms; • Reviewed and audited subgrantees’ reports, ensure subgrantees’ reporting timeliness; • Reviewed grantees’ expenditures to ensure that it is incurred in compliance with grant terms and USAID regulation; • Proven ability to enhance the capacity of sub-grantees and align sub-granting systems with programmatic deliverables specifically on youth focused projects; • Previous experience working with the United States Government generally accepted accounting procedures; • Advances skills in Excel and Quickbooks.
