The Department of Psychology has a flourishing research community with research strengths identified by the RAE 2008 in cognition and perception, health and clinical psychology, and neuroscience.

We are seeking candidates with a strong publication record and the ability to attract research funding in any area of psychology.

Appointees will be expected to contribute to teaching in the core BPS undergraduate curriculum, to undertake supervision of postgraduate research students and to work as part of a team committed to delivering an outstanding student experience. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to postgraduate taught Masters teaching on one or more of our 3 MSc courses, in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology, in Research Methods in Psychology, and in Cognitive Neuroscience. For the SL appointment experience of teaching and supervision at undergraduate and postgraduate level is essential and highly desirable for Lecturer

Applicants should have a PhD in psychology or a behavioural science, and have a publication profile that would enable them to be included in our submission for the REF 2014.

An honorary NHS position may be linked to this appointment, if the applicant has an area of clinical expertise.
