Team Leader – Policy Dialogues Support Facility - Bangkok, Thailand – European Commission

BACKGROUND

The purpose of this contract is to provide targeted support for Thailand-EU policy dialogues in areas of strategic importance and crucial to advancing Thailand’s national development agenda. Specifically, to enhance dialogues and cooperation in the following strategic areas:

• trade and investment;
• higher education and science and technology - including health;
• environment, climate change, energy and natural resources sustainable management, and;
• good governance and human rights; besides, to enhance public awareness.

We are recruiting for a Team Leader for an anticipated European Commission funded Policy Dialogue Programme in Thailand. You will have a crucial role in managing the implementation of the Facility in accordance with the contract. You will ideally demonstrate:

• Master Degree in economics, business or public administration, law, or in a discipline directly related to the subject of the tender; or the equivalent of fifteen (15) years of experience in relevant field, for a Bachelor Degree holder;

• Facilitator skills and experience in managing public participation processes (i.e. communication and participatory skills);
• Proven excellent report writing and communication skills in English, knowledge of Thai language
• At least 10 years of working experience in the area of international trade or investment;
• Extensive experience in the management of complex technical assistance contracts;
• Experience in more than one of the four strategic priority areas covered by the PDSF is an asset;
• A minimum of 5 years working experience as Team Leader/Project Manager
• Experience with the European Union and knowledge of European Commission procedure
• Good exposure to Thai authorities and business organisations;
