ANAEE, a European Infrastructure for Analysis and Experimentation on Ecosystem, is on the roadmap of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures. It will enter into its Preparatory phase as of 1st November 2012 (November 2012-May 2016), funded by the European Commission under the FP7 Infrastructure Programme. ANAEE plans to build a distributed and coordinated set of experimental, analytical and modelling platforms to analyse and predict in a precise manner the response of the main continental ecosystems to environmental and land use changes. The ANAEE preparatory phase is coordinated by INRA with 13 partners representing 10 different EU Member States.

Job description

Under the responsibility of the ANAEE Coordinator (INRA) and in collaboration with the ANAEE Project Manager (INRA Transfert), the ANAEE Communications Officer will carry out the following tasks:

Main tasks:

  • Define and implement a Communication strategy for ANAEE Preparatory Phase;
  • Set up and maintain ANAEE Communication and concertation tools (web,fora etc);
  • Establish a National Stakeholders Group made up of representatives of the National Funding Agencies and Ministries;
  • Represent and promote ANAEE amongst public and private stakeholders with the key objective of raising funds for the construction phase;
  • Organise and facilitate stakeholder meetings including the preparation of relevant pre and post meeting material;
  • Maintain regular contact with all ANAEE stakeholders and partners including the production of regular internal and external Newsletters;
  • Oversee and quality control of communication actions by all project partners;
  • As a WP leader and member of the ANAEE Steering Committee (SC) participate in SC meetings and report to the SC and the EC on the work done, risks and future plans;
  • Prepare the Communication and Marketing plan for the Construction phase.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Degree (Bac+4) in European Public Affairs, Public relations or similar;
  • Proven communication, negotiation and lobbying skills;
  • Good understanding of public and private funding mechanisms in Europe;
  • Dynamic team member at ease at dealing with high-level political actors;
  • First-hand experience in the development of communication content (web content, Newsletters..) as well as experience in maintaining communication tools;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English as well as French;
  • Understanding and interest in ecosystem research and research infrastructures.

Conditions:

  • Location: Paris (7th arrondissement) or Grignon (78) with frequent travel at European level;
  • Contract: CDD 3 years starting 1st November 2012;
  • Level: Ingénieur de Recherche (IR) in the French public system;
  • Remuneration: 2310 - 2833 Euros Gross depending on experience.
