CONSULTANCY: Kyrgyz Republic Co-Facilitator and Co-Trainer

Based: Bishkek, with frequent travel to Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken and around Chuy Oblasts.

Salary: Competitive

Duration: Less than 100 days of training design, implementation, and facilitation needed.

We are looking for experienced, English-Russian-Kyrgyz speaking Co-Facilitators to assist the implementation of our mediation training in Bishkek, Osh, Jalal-Abad, and Batken.

As co-facilitators of our trainings, individuals will join the project team in Kyrgyzstan, you will be integral in the implementation of the trainings as part of our training activities in our Alert €1.33million project in respective oblasts - Chui, Osh, Jalal-Abad, Batken for the development and strengthening of a Mediator’s Network in Kyrgyzstan.

Co-Facilitators will work closely to and report to the Senior Peacebuilding Trainer and Facilitator and will work in close collaboration with the Project Officers and Senior Project Manager as well as local implementing organizations on project implementation. Co-facilitators will have significant training and facilitation experience, as well as a deep understanding of the needs for training among mediators in the country. Co-facilitators will be efficient communicators, have strong inter-personal skills, and able to communicate training needs to the community.

As a Co-facilitator, you will:
•Assist in the finalization and re-development of training modules for basic and intermediate mediation trainings.
•Implement training modules with the Senior Peacebuilding Trainer and Facilitator in Chuy, Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad Oblasts.
•Participate in the needs assessment design and review with local partners, and curriculum re-development with the Senior Peacebuilding Trainer and Facilitator.
•Work with Alert Project Officers, Senior Project Manager, and local partners on training logistics.
•Representing International Alert as appropriate.

Qualifications:
•First degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. sociology/anthropology/development/studies/ conflict and peace studies, law/ Political Science.
•At least 5 years’ of training facilitation experience in topics such as conflict sensitivity, participatory approaches, peace-building.
•At least 5 years’ relevant professional experience in the field of conflict sensitive approach to development.
•Experience of working in conflict-torn or conflict-threatened locations.
•Relevant experience working with an international agency on conflict/peace/ mediation related projects.
•Experience working with I/NGO in peace-building in Central Asia.
•Must be fluent in English, Russian and Kyrgyz.
