Director, Sales Productivity LinkedIn - Mountain View, CA

This position will be a key influencer within LinkedIn’s Global Sales and Operations Organization, responsible for building and deploying a strategy to develop and deliver innovative and impactful sales training and development programs and initiatives. This includes partnering closely with other key stakeholders, including LinkedIn Learning and Development, Marketing, Sales Systems, Sales Operations, Business Analytics, and the Solutions teams to deploy enablement strategies; running internal GSO communications programs and our Executive Briefing Center; leading sales training & coaching; and managing the critical new hire sales experience, including the development of a sales certification program. The role will also be responsible for leading a global team in the USA, Asia and Europe in alignment with our Global Learning and Development function.

2) Increase revenue per sales person
3) Decrease ramp time to target productivity

Responsibilities:
  • Design, build and lead a team to develop world class, innovative content and programs focused on impactful, timely, innovative and measurable improvements on sales efficiency.
  • Build a professional development strategy for sales professionals focused on building LinkedIn’s next generation of professionals.

  • Establish a global internal sales communications strategy to educate, inspire and inform.
  • Create a technology and process strategy for harnessing the LinkedIn platform as a means for reaching, communicating, teaching and managing our global sales teams

  • Implement global Learning Management Solutions (CyberU) embedded in the workflow of Salesforce.com
  • Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to prioritize learning plans to align with business goals
  • Act as a thought leader and evangelist for the function, incorporating the latest BI and data analytics methodologies to improve overall effectiveness
  • Manage Executive Briefing Center function to introduce outside executives into LinkedIn’s culture and vision.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in establishing and leading sales learning systems and teams, preferably in the area of SAAS and Media Sales.
  • Must be extremely operationally focused, capable of operating many different programs and teams at a high level on a global scale.
  • Demonstrated success in instructional design and facilitation, as well as implementing a Learning Management System for sales with deep integration into Salesforce.com
  • World class leadership, mentoring and evaluation skilled required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Solution Selling, Value based selling, and core sales skills and methodologies.
  • Must be an expert at using LinkedIn for Social Selling, including using LinkedIn for advanced prospecting, networking and marketing techniques.
  • Prior sales experience in the technology or media industry strongly preferred.
  • Experienced in using sales metrics to drive performance
  • Can perform advanced calculations to demonstrate ROI, coach reps and customers on budgeting and sales analyses, forecast accurate sales projections and negotiate sales packages.
  • Can identify the strengths and developmental needs of sales reps based on coaching encounters, manager feedback and assessment of territory performance
  • Understanding of adult learning, how to apply concepts for maximum audience engagement and effectiveness of training delivery, measurement of learning outcomes and business results
  • Collaboration and influencing skills, high level experience with management team interaction
  • Extensive experience using, administering or training on salesforce.com.
