Drug Project Manager Friends - International Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Friends-International is a social enterprise that works with marginalized urban children and youth, their families and communities, to help them become independent and productive citizens of their country.
The Drug Project, funded by Global Fund and HAARP, works with 6 partners to provide a holistic continuum of care to drug using youth in urban areas, such as prevention education, harm reduction services, detoxification, rehabilitation, reintegration and access to Methadone services provided by the Ministry of Health.
Friends-International is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Drug Project Manager.
Position overview
Drug Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Friends-International Drug Project in Cambodia, following the ethos, aims and objectives of Friends-International.
Main Responsibilities
The Drug Project Manager will :
• Implement the overall strategy of Friends-International’s Drug Project
• Be involved in the development of the Drug Project and overall planning
• Ensure that all aspects of the management of the project are carried out, and that objectives and goals outlined are achieved by the team, including delivery of specialist services, data collection, analysis, etc
• Manage the drug team (10 people)
• Oversee management and administration of a number of partners projects
• Deliver timely reports to the donors
• Deliver quarterly and annual reports to the Phnom Penh Program Director and Executive Director
• Overall financial management of the Drug Project as a whole
• Ensure adequate financial management of individual donor projects/partners
• Be responsible for communication with funding, network and implementing partners, including Government
Experiences and qualifications
• Degree is not an essential criteria for the selection process as long as the experience is matching
• Thorough knowledge of Project Management and Administration principles, knowledge of Cambodian context and/or drug issues is an advantage
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management and administration in NGO, developmental or funding agency
• Experience working with Global Fund and working in drug field is highly advantageous
• Experience in managing a team is required, working in an international setting is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel
• Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Location: This position is based in Phnom Penh
Duration: Full-time work
