Within the Directorate General Information Systems, the Quality and Management Services Section provides the following services:
(i) implementing process and quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 20000 and SDLC);
(ii) maintaining the IT service catalogue;
(iii) coordinating and supporting project portfolio planning and monitoring;
(iv) coordinating and supporting procurement planning and execution;
(v) managing suppliers and monitoring service levels;
(vi) managing licences; and
(vii) providing financial and human resources planning and monitoring.
The successful applicant will join a team responsible for the following main tasks:
(i) IT performance management;
(ii) IT quality management systems;
(iii) IT service catalogue; and
(iv) IT process risk management.
The successful applicant will be entrusted with the following main tasks:
- actively compiling reports on performance management (key performance indicators (KPIs)), continual improvement and service catalogue onboarding activities;
- liaising actively with project managers and project assistants to ensure up to date information is available with regard to the timely completion of deliverables;
- maintaining the DG/IS process landscape and service catalogue;
- providing administrative support for the Quality Management Office, i.e. organising meetings, setting up agendas, preparing documentation and following up issues with relevant stakeholders; and
- maintaining the central filing system for DG/IS processes in line with the ECB’s documentation management system and policies.
Qualifications and experience
Applicants must have the following knowledge and competencies:
- vocational training or a formal qualification in business, administration or another relevant subject, or a proven ability to perform the tasks required by the position;
- experience in the application of quality management frameworks within an organisation;
- experience of IT performance and risk management would be an advantage;
- previous experience with IT/ITIL processes would be an advantage;
- ability to follow administrative procedures; and
- familiarity with IT terminology and a good understanding the IT environment.
- a very good command of English with proven drafting ability and a working knowledge of at least one other official language of the EU;
- a very good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word, Excel PowerPoint and MS Project.
- a good knowledge of document management system (e.g. open text).
