Senior Manager-Human Resources, India
Please note that this is a nationally recruited vacancy currently open in India. Occupant of the position will be based in New Delhi.
CIMMYT seeks a motivated candidate to manage the services and administration of Nationally Recruited Staff (NRS) in India. The highest priority is to deliver world class HR Services to the NRS in a cost-effective manner.
Location: New Delhi.
The focus is on delivery of all HR services policy and guidelines. The major HR services include the administration of salary and benefits, recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, off-boarding, career development, and problem solving.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:
* Manage and coordinate the recruitment process of staff and national consultants
* Manage the employment contracting and renewal process ensuring compliance to established policies and procedures
* Manage induction for NRS and Internationally Recruited Staff
* Coordinate with Government bodies as required
* Manage On-boarding and Off-boarding
* Manage payroll, insurance and other benefits
* Coordinate performance management and appraisal process
* Resolve staff complaints, disciplinary and grievance procedures
* Review and propose policy and process improvements
* Support process automation and continuous improvement efforts
* Maintain filing systems, HR database related to NRS and local benefits of IRS
* Support reviews and audits
* Provide regular and special reports and analyses
Experience / Competencies
* Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Personnel Management, or in social sciences. A degree in law will be an advantage
* Minimum of 10 years progressive leadership experience in Human Resources positions
* Experience in an international organization preferred
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
* Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development
* Demonstrated ability to serve as a successful participant on the country / regional management team that provides leadership and direction
* Experience in the administration of compensation and benefit program
* Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills
* Strong staff relation skills including conflict resolution and facilitation
* Proficiency in MS Office and in at least one corporate HR system
