UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a WASH Communication for Development Specialist, P-3, (Temporary Appointment) in Child Survival and Development Section, Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Qualification:

• Advanced university degree in the social/behavioral sciences, (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Health Education, and Mass Communication) with emphasis on participatory communication, communication planning, social mobilization, participatory research, training and impact evaluation of communication interventions.

• Five years progressively responsible work experience in the planning and management of social development programmes, including two years in developing countries, with practical experience in the adaptation and application of communication planning processes to specific programmes. Specific experience in C4D for WASH programmes – will be considered an advantage/asset

• Fluency in English and another UN language required. Knowledge of the local working language of the duty station is an asset.
