Job Description

We are currently looking for high quality litigators to join our market leading international Dispute Resolution practice and assist with our top ranked financial institutions disputes practice. The groups work involves a wide mixture of litigation (both in the UK and elsewhere), arbitration, global investigations and contentious regulatory matters for many of the worlds leading banking and insurance companies. Successful candidates will be expected to work in all these areas.

Our global investigations practice is unique. It offers clients an integrated, cross-border investigations team with global regulatory capabilities in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the US. The practice involves conducting and defending complex investigations and dealing with corruption issues, financial reporting and corporate governance requirements.
 
We are interested in candidates from all backgrounds, including the bar and those in-house looking to rejoin private practice. 
 

Responsibilities

Assisting in managing all aspects of complex litigation, arbitration, global investigations and contentious regulatory cases.

Competencies

  • Strong technical legal and commercial abilities.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team and supervise more junior lawyers.
  • Highly effective communicator (both orally and in writing).
  • Able to take on a high degree of responsibility 

The Individual

  • High quality lawyer with strong technical and commercial background.
  • Strong intellectual skills and academic qualifications.

Other

This is a rolling recruitment programme.  Salary range is approximately £60,000 - £100,000 depending on PQE level and the seniority of the particular role.  The closing date for applications is the 31 December 2012.
 
Where we indicate a band of PQE for a role, this indicates how long we would expect a lawyer to take to gain the level of experience required in an appropriate legal context. It does not preclude applications from those with more or less PQE who can demonstrate that they have acquired the relevant experience.
