Our Responsibilities
Responsible for platform LED roadmap & on time release of BIC LED engines for Philips Lighting.

Your Responsibilities:
- Predevelopment and architecture of technology building blocks:
- Owner of Philips LED engine cost and performance roadmap.
- Translate product teams' predevelopment requirements and build up architectures of product that fulfill those requirements.
- Catalyze innovations in LED chip designs, packaging and material science to achieve cost and performance target.
- Take a leading role in efforts to materialize those innovations.
- Product development:
- Work as part of the product team to release LED packages to LED lamps/systems.
- Continue product improvement to make it excel in performance.
- Coaching and competence build up
Your Profile:
- PhD/MSc in areas related to optoelectronics (i.e. materials science, electrical engineering) with extensive background knowledge.
- Quantum physics
- Solid state devices and physics
- Inorganic materials
- Polymer science
- 3+ years of experience in LED chip and/or packaging.
- Familiar with optical, electrical, and thermo-mechanical issues that are relevant to quality and reliability of LED Lighting products.
- Good command in English (oral and written) is a must.
