As a Rotorcraft operation Expert, you will be verifying applicants’ proof of compliance with Operational Suitability (OS) requirements in the areas of rotorcraft.
You Will be Responsible For:
- Managing the day-to-day work assigned by EASA in the area of OS and more generally operational rotorcraft evaluation;
- Checking applicants’ demonstrations of compliance with operational suitability requirements for rotorcraft and airships including implementing the OS process;
- Coordinating OS experts and activities both at internal and external level;
- Delivering regular updates of the new Operational Suitability Data (OSD) records and reports used by the Directorate;
- Attending professional activities such as standardisation, accreditation and rulemaking activities; and
- Assisting other EASA Directorates if necessary.
Your Profile: High-flyers Of Europe
EASA recruits the brightest talents from all over Europe to ensure the highest safety and environmental standards in aviation. You should have:
- A completed university degree or professional training in a relevant field;
- Proven work experience of at least 10 years as a operational helicopter pilot involved either in on-shore operations (like Helicopter Emergency Medical Services HEMS, mountain environment, Hoist, Cargo-Sling, Night Vision Imaging Systems NVIS) or in off-shore operations like oil and gas, sea platform transfer;
- A holder of a valid Helicopter Airline Transport / IR Pilot’s Licence;
- Knowledge of the EU regulations and procedures for Pilot Licensing and Operations;
- Being an owner of a Helicopter Flight Instructor Rating; and
- An excellent command of written and spoken English;
- You must be a national of an EU Member State, Iceland, Lie chtenstein, Norway or Switzerland.
