Consultant for Caring for Child Survivors Resource Development

UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Consultant for Caring for Child Survivors Resource Development.

Qualification:

This consultancy requires good technical knowledge on Gender Based Violence (GBV) programming in conflict and natural disaster affected countries along with strategic vision, and skills for group facilitation and communication to address the wide range of interests and perspectives, as well as sensitivities related to issues of GBV in emergencies.

Essential:

• A minimum of 5 years of humanitarian or related work experience on GBV programming in emergencies (conflict or natural disaster affected countries).
• Advanced degree in social work, public health, international development or other related degree preferred.
• Sound knowledge and experience of delivering or overseeing case management support to child survivors, in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated and strong experience in research, writing, and publications.
• Experience working with international standards and existing guidance around service provision for GBV survivors in low-resource contexts.
• Ability to work closely with other GBV experts and work collaboratively to develop a document that has been properly vetted and reviewed.

Desirable:

• Experience with IRC or UNICEF is a plus.
