Department

In-house Production makes programmes for all BBC Channels as well content for a range of platforms. It also makes a range of co-productions for the international market.

As part of in-house Factual Production, History and Business are thriving genres and have made programmes and series in the last 18 months that include: The 1970s, Vikings, History of the World, Masters of Money, Made in Britain, Women at the Top, Adam Curtis' All watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace, Roundhead & Cavalier, and Facebook.

Projects currently in production include: a full drama on BBC1, a magazine show on BBC2, a journalistic take on the Banks and an exciting animation that is in the development stage.

Role

To capitalise on our current success, we need an ambitious Executive Producer to help grow the range and scope of the department. This is an opportunity for an outstanding creative leader who possesses strong leadership skills and can manage on and off screen talent relationships, drive development and be an ambitious creative force.

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced Executive Producer who has successfully developed, pitched and delivered History programming across a wide range of formats. Experience of BBC1, the international market and formats is essential. The successful individual must also feel at home delivering History and Business programming to the BBC2 9pm slot.
