Health Data Assistant
Department: Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, College of Medicine
Status: 0.4 FTE; Term, 1 year with the possibility of extension
Salary Information: The salary range at hiring is $16,000 to $18,000 per annum (0.4 FTE). The salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
Primary Purpose: To collect and manage clinical data for quality assurance and research.
Nature of Work: The person in this position will be involved in the collection, entry, and management of clinical data. The work will be primarily administrative. The person will report to the SK Site Lead Investigator of the Canadian MS Monitoring System.
Accountabilities
- Enter data into electronic database
- Manage quantitative and qualitative data submissions and queries
- Liaise with clinicians, researchers, and CIHI
- Schedule meetings
- Assist patients in completing questionnaires
Qualifications
- Experience with data entry and management
- Post-secondary certificate or diploma
- Bachelor degree in a health science-related discipline would be an asset
- Experience in clinical, health services, and/or population health research
- Understanding of quantitative research methods
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow plans to complete work in a timely manner
- Ability to shift priorities and solve problems
- Experience with persons with disabilities would be an asset
