Legal Affairs Assistant Manager/Manager - ECPA - European Crop Protection Association
The European Crop Protection Association ( ECPA) is the pan-European voice of the pesticide industry. This Brussels-based association, representing 20 market-leading companies as well as national associations in 32 countries, is looking for a results-oriented Legal Affairs Assistant Manager/Manager.
ECPA is looking to recruit a Legal Affairs Assistant Manager/Manager who will provide legal support to ECPA teams, manage related expert groups and represent ECPA in relevant fora.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the association’s policy approach with regard to legal, food and related policy issues
- Organize and lead the work of several expert groups
- Draft position papers, strategies and other related policy documents on relevant topics
- Build networks with EU institutions and EU trade associations
- Represent the association externally
Qualifications:
The successful candidate should have:
- University degree (legal background)
- 3- 5 years’ experience in policy and/or regulatory affairs in a EU agri-food association, in agri-food industry and/or in EU institutions
- Excellent knowledge of EU law and of the EU institutions
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiatives
- Good analytical skills and ability to synthesize information
- Consensus driven and ability to facilitate consensus among members
- Dynamic, open-minded, hard worker, organized, team player
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Adaptability and interest for a multicultural environment
- Fluent in English and at least another European language
