UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a Material Master Technical Officer, P1, in its Operational Analysis & Technology Centre, Supply Division, Copenhagen is seeking a dedicated

Purpose:           
Under the supervision of the Business Analysis Manager, in the Business Process Unit (BPU) of the Operational Analysis and Technology Centre (OATC), the Material Master Technical Officer shall perform the below indicated activities:
Oversight of the MM administration function, in coordination with the UNICEF stakeholders, such as SD Management, Material Owners, Knowledge Management Unit, Field Offices, and in tight collaboration with the Material Master Administrator:
• Handle the communication with the Field Offices and the Material Owners regarding any additional standard material record to be created or any changes to existing ones, and by conveying to the Material Master Administrator any items for creation or amendment;
• Ensure that Material Master Administrator activities are performed timely and efficiently according to organisation priorities;
• Ensure alignment of the Material Master database with the CRM Web Catalogue
• Ensure the records in the Material Master database are fully up-to-date by engaging Material Owners and field colleagues as required, and ensuring the records are of increasing quality;
• Monitor the usage of materials in view of optimising the size and span of the Material Master database;
• Generate regular reports to inform all relevant stakeholders about progress and challenges in the standardisation and usage of Standard Light material codes;
Material Master Business Process improvement:
Support the review and implementation of streamlined governance, business processes, tools, workflow with regard to the Material Master management;
Coordination, support and back-up tasks:
• Support the Material Master Administrator’s in prioritising and monitoring activities to ensure that the Material Master satisfies the global UNICEF supply function at its best
• Perform support tasks of the Material Master Administration function, with special focus on the CRM Web Catalogue, such as:
 Ensure regular update of the consolidated monitoring/tracking spreadsheet, where all web materials are classified
 Working in close coordination with the Material Owners, and Material Master Administrator, support the quality assurance of product masters in CRM
 Coordinate with Material Owners and Knowledge Management Unit to ensure images are timely updated in the centralised image database as well as the linkages of the web catalogue with other web based systems (i.e. UNICEF internet and intranet)
 Ensure data in CRM product master and the Web Catalogue are synchronised; monitor and troubleshoot problems relating to the web catalogue in close consultation
• Act as a back-up of the Material Master Administrator both in VISION and in CRM
Provide regular updates and perform any other related duty as requested by the supervisor.

OUTPUT: 
1. The Material Master is correctly and efficiently administered to support the global UNICEF supply function and the Material Master stakeholders kept informed of activities and challenges;
2. The Material Master Governance, processes, tools and guidelines are streamlined and improved; KPI are in place to measure effectiveness and efficiency of the Material Master management;
3. Coordination, support and back-up tasks are performed timely and efficiently
4. Regular updates to the direct reporting officer and second-line reporting officer.
Qualification:
Education:
- 1st University degree in computer science or business administration, management or the equivalent.
Work Experience:
• One year professional experience in computer applications and data management.
• Experience in working in international organizations such as the United Nations or similar organizations.
• One year’s experience in Master Data management
Languages:
Fluency in English is essential and working knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage
