The Job
Within 3E’s Consultancy Business Unit, you manage and/or contribute significantly to projects involving advice to regulatory agencies, government departments, international institutions and the private sector on sustainable energy issues. You focus on the financial and policy aspects of the projects with support from technical engineers.
Your key responsibilities include:
  • Research and drafting of conclusions to prepare or assess policies on renewable energy and energy efficiency;
  • Developing financial strategies for customers; matching goals with situation using appropriate financial plans; identifying and evaluating new financial strategies; economic and financial modelling for policy recommendations and advice;
  • Project costing/budget management of different projects simultaneously;
  • Business development in your field of expertise, including following up on existing leads and generating your own;
  • Building, enhancing and maintaining a relevant network with active outreach to governmental and non-governmental key players.
Profile
  • Master degree in economics or business engineering, or similar through experience;
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, ideally within the sustainable energy sector including a relevant established network;
  • Strong interest in renewable energy and/or energy efficiency;
  • Multidisciplinary interest and the ability to link disciplines (energy, policy, economics, technology).
Skills
  • Strong organisational capabilities, able to function autonomously as well as within a team;
  • Ability to identify key issues, assess their implications and communicate complex subjects in readily understandable terms;
  • Able to work in a transversal team, across several departments;
  • Creative and innovative mindset;
  • Demonstrated ability to network and tie strong links with policy makers;
  • Analytical and focussed with strong communication skills, both oral and in writing;
  • Fluent in English and French, knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
